What is your name?

Miss Aves.

What class do you teach? Kennet.

If you weren’t a teacher what would you be?

I would want to work on the West End so basically I would want to work in the theatre or on stage.

Where are you originally from? East London.

What is your favourite holiday destination?

Well I’ve been to 42 different countries so that’s a hard one but I’d say either any new countries or anywhere with great food.

What are your hobbies?

Travelling and eating.

Do you have any pets?

Yes, a dog called Jasper and two fish.

What do you like best about teaching?

The fact that every day is different.

What is your favourite subject? Geography.

What is your favourite sport? Does dance count as a sport? Because if it does, I would say dance.

Have you always been a teacher?

Yes.

What did you study at university?

Teaching.

What did you want to be when you were younger?

A Teacher.

On the 30th of January 2019, the Westbourne choir set off on a wonderful trip to the O2 Arena to attend the largest school choir concert, Young Voices. High-spirited, they chorused many campfire songs (?) in the coach before arriving. They had a wonderful day full of singing, dancing and screaming with excitement whenever the famous guests - Beau Dermott, Tony Hadley and Sharlene Hector - set foot on the stage. This year, the choir were sitting on the very top of the top row of the 02! Some people were a little frightened, but after a while, they conquered their fears as the fun overwhelmed them. The rehearsal took quite a while and tired many people out. Luckily they got some time to rest and have their delicious packed dinners! The show began at 19:00 and finished around 21:45 (ON A SCHOOL NIGHT)! They sung some old songs and also new. The songs included: This Is Me, We Know The Way, Something Just Like This, Pop Don’t Stop, Viva La Vida, We Are The World and many more! It was a fantastic night that the children and teachers who attended will remember for the rest of their lives.

This week’s competition is a short setting description about a Haunted House. Your descriptions need to be short but not sweet as they also need to be spooky. The winning description will be detailed and creepy but not too gory as we don’t want nightmares! The winner will be announced in assembly on 14th February. Have fun!
