An Encounter with a Dragon

Tiera treaded soundlessly into a pitch black cave with echoes of bats flapping their wings wildly. As she went further into the cave, she clambered to a sudden halt. Something was blocking her entry, so she pushed and pushed. When she was aware that she had had enough, she fetched her emergency razor-sharp, petite pocket knife out of her rough, jean pockets, infuriatedly stabbing the object in front of her.

“OOW!” the dragon howled like a wolf at midnight. Abruptly, a pair of vivid, blood-sucking eyes lit up. Consequently, making the cave which once consumed Tiera with jet-black darkness light up, as if the blazing sun was in the cave. She cautiously turned around and treaded inaudibly to the entrance of the cave. The dragon soared past Tiera as swift as lightning.

“Where do you think you’re going?” the dragon asked puzzled. Before Tiera lay a dragon with scaly, wrinkled skin, resembling the bark of an aged tree, numerous jagged spikes consuming its face as a towel would when absorbing water. As well as a snake-like tail, fangs as sharp as knives, a fear-provoking fork tongue and gigantic, wrinkled feet, huge enough to equate his body.

“Um..........I’m sorry for agitating you, I’ll let you be and leave the cage” Tiera mumbled cautiously turning around strolling towards the caves entrance. “No, no its ok, I just want to be friends, really” the dragon explained. “You want to be friends with me?” Tiera asked puzzedly thinking it was a joke. “Yeah, it’s true. I’ve always been lonely in this cave, people always run away from me” the dragon mumbled with a miserable frown painted on his face.

“I will be your friend then,” Tiera confessed with a small smile forming on her face. “You will!” the dragon exclaimed jumping with joy and a sign of relief.  “I have a problem though and I hope you can help me” Tiera asked hopefully. “Ok, what’s the problem then” the dragon questioned Tiera, eager to find the problem. “Well this man is forcing my mum to marry him, though she does not want to and we were living happily. How do I stop him?” Tiera explained.

“Well all you and your mum need to do, is tell him to leave you alone and loudly like a roaring lion” the dragon answered. “Thanks for the advice, we’ll do that, I’ll have to leave you now. But don’t worry, I’ll always visit you” Tiera informed the dragon. She and the dragon said their goodbyes and then she left the vivid light of the cave.
