In Topic we have been learning about space. We had a planetarium coming into our school. We learnt about the stars and how the Ancient Greeks used them to travel. We found out the difference between the Earth, the Sun and the moon.

The Earth and the Moon is 384,400 km and the distance between the Earth and the Sun is 149.9 million km. The Earth orbits the Sun and it takes a year (365 days). Also, the moon takes 28 days (4

weeks) to orbit around the whole Earth. The Earth spins on its own axis and it takes 24 hours (one day) for it to spin once. The way we get seasons is that Earth is at a 23 degree angle. We found out that the Sun rises from the East and that it settles in the west.
