Daisy looked out of the window and noticed the extreme weather. The snow storm was blowing so wildly the room itself was remarkably cold! Icicles started to form from under the window sill. "Breakfast!" shouted the usual, angry-for-no-reason voice. Down she came, noticing the new statue by the stair case.

"Mum" said Daisy suspiciously, "What's that?" pointing to the statue.

"My new historical, Incan statue, why do you want to know?" came the grumpy voice back. Daisy shrugged. Daisy ate her daily corn flakes, wondering about the new statue. She was that fascinated with it that she wanted....... to bring it to SCHOOL.

The next morning, Daisy secretly slipped the statue into her bag hoping that her mother wouldn't notice the full bag with an outline of the face. "Bye! Mother!" she said, hesitating.

Slightly smirking, Daisy shut the door, then approached her friend Samantha. Samantha ran towards her and asked her if they could swap bags again. Samantha and Daisy are very close every day they would swap their bags sometimes even phones! . Daisy refused. Samantha frowned. Daisy didn't want her dear friend to find that her bag was unusually heavy. Otherwise she would open her bag and see inside. Certainly, Daisy would not have wanted that. Stomping grumpily into the snow, Samantha gave Daisy a puppy eyed look. Daisy, who found this annoying, ran towards the school gates and took off her bag.

Once she was in the building, the mysterious statue was immediately drawn out of her bag. Samantha was breathing heavily and eagerly wanted to sit down. " Why won't you- What's that?" she asked suspiciously.

" My mother's new, historical, Incan statue. " replied Daisy proudly. She held it up high and soon many of her classmates where crowding her with questions. Samantha scowled. Daisy just suspected that it was her friend's usual I-want-the-attention mood.

At school, the day was not normal. Daisy became the new so called "celebrity" pupil which soon became annoying. She also lost her best friend as well as losing her birthday money. The next day her mother became severely ill. After a week, Daisy saw the problem. The statue. Ever since her mother had brought it in, ever since she brought it to school life was different. Daisy had to change something, QUICK.
