Writing about Vesuvius

The volcano Vesuvius is found in Italy. It is nearby Naples , Pompeii and Herculaneum. The volcano is 1, 220 metres high. It erupted at 24th August , AD 79. Pompeii and Herculaneum disappeared under ash and lava. We know about it because a man called Pliny wrote about the volcano when it erupted in AD 79.
