The romans loved art particularly the art of the ancient Greeks

they copied some of the Greek styles of art but also formed lots of new types of their own

the most impotant of these was mosaics a mosaic was a picture made from of small tiles called tesserae.

Towns

Here news was announced markets were selling fruit, veg and other healthy foods

amphitheaters (thertes) were biult on the outskirts of larger towns to watch the gladiators.
