Posting pictures or commenting online:

When you are posting pictures online like on Instagram do you ever think whether they are appropriate?

If you are not sure follow these simple steps.

1) Is this photo of you? If not (even if it is your friend) ask for their permission.

2) Think about whether you want the whole world to see it, if no then don't post it.

3) If anybody saw this could they use this against you.

Comments:

If you would like to comment on a clip, video or photo on you tube and face book e.t.c make sure it is sensible and not offensive to anybody. Think before you post a comment because on some websites you cannot delete comments and the whole world will be able to see what you said. If it was rude some of your friends or parents will see it and will not be impressed.

Friend or foe?

Do think you are talking to your friend online? well think again. Even if you are absolutely sure it is best to double check. But if your no entirely sure do not give them any personal information and block their photos and comments. Check you are safe with these quick and easy steps.

1) Do you recognise their profile picture if not this may not be who you think it is.

2) Look at who they are friends with. Do you know these people?

3) Check if your friend is actually a member on the type of social media you are using e.g Facebook or Twitter.
