SOLAR ECLIPSE

The most important thing to remember is to NEVER look directly at the sun! Also, don't forget to wear special solar eclipse glasses as any other type of glasses will not have enough ultraviolet protection, e.g: sunglasses.

In year 6 we have been out to look at the solar eclipse and found it amazing!

We realised it didn't look like the picture on the right as it was only a partial

eclipse :( but... We have found out lot's more than we knew originally:

What is a solar eclipse? A solar eclipse is when the Earth, sun and moon, line up to create a complete blackout. The moon is closer to the Earth so even though the sun is 400 times bigger, they look the same size!
