Writing about Amy Johnson

The years 1931-1939


In 1931 Amy flew from England to Japan and back. In 1932 she flew from England to South Africa.In both flights she registered the fastest time ever and broke records.Between 1933 and 1938 she flew many more flights and broke many records.


The second world war

The second world war began in 1939.During this period Amy joined the Royal Air Force.Amy Johnson flew aeroplanes for British.Sadly in 1941 she crashed near London and died.


Amy' achievements

Johnson was the first woman pilot in history.She showed people that a woman was able to fly aeroplanes.Amy was not only brave but she was a really successful pilot. Amy made people interested in planes.
