The Reproduction Of A Plant

Seed Dispersal

A plant reproduces to create a new seed, the new seed will then move to another spot in the world to grow. There are different ways for a seed to move. Some seeds are carried away in the wind, some get stuck on animal fur and fall off later and some seeds float down a river to find a spot to grow.

Germination

When a plant starts to grow it's called germination.

What a plant needs to grow: First it must soak up water. When it's had water it starts to grow roots and seed shoots. The seed shoot will push up to the surface of the ground.

Photosynthesis

Next leaves start to grow these soak up energy and sun light this produces food for the plant this is called photosynthesis. At the adult stage of the plant, flowers start to grow.
