micro society

So when we did our first micro society lesson it was really fun.Mr West read us a story about SCARCITY and i had no idea what is was about at first. Then we found out it was about not having enough of something. We as a class did a simple game.We each had one folder on our tables our one had letter C on it and the things inside it was a pencil,a scissor .5 sheets of paper and a ruler. The only rule was we were only aloud to use the hing that we had on our table. We could make 10 cm sided squares and you would get 5 points ,you could make perfect circles and i think that was 10 points and you could give counters and that was worth 5 points each. Our table tried making only squares because we had all the thing to do it so. Then somebody had this idea of trading and our table thought this was a bad idea and we did not trade at all and kept in making squares. When the game finished we had only 15 points . We wondered why we had such low points and it was partly because we did not hand in the counters that we had and partly because that we did not trade probably. When the game was over Mr West told us about 1st world countries 2nd and 3rd world classes. The 1st world countries have lots of technology and the 3rd world countries have lots of wildlife and nature and that is why some groups had lots of paper and and pencils. And some groups had lots of compasses and rulers but did not have paper. The 2nd world countries(our group) had some of everything but we did not have the compass which was really annoying . We had learnt that SCARCITY is the start of economics.
