Earth at sea

By Tyler Loppas

Due to torrential rain, I have discovered pandemonium since the first raindrop patted my shoulder. Without warning, water cascaded through the hallway and gushed into the living room. The rain was still darting down from the sky to the ground.

Without warning, the water gushed towards the TV and cascaded onto the television cables. KAPOW!!! The house sparked into darkness. I screamed for help. I sprinted up the stairs and tripped over something. “Owee”!!! I shouted. I ran into my room and leaped onto my bed.

“Phew, the water will never reach me here.” I whispered to myself.

I heard the sound of water gushing up the stairs. I screamed on the top of my voice. The water bashed against the wooden door. The door was shaking like if a dog just came out of the water. I opened the door. I slipped and fell down the stairs. My knee was bleeding and my body was bruised from top to bottom. I tried to walk but the current was too strong to even walk to the heater next to the door.  When I finally got outside, I was amazed of what was happening.
