Should Jim escape from the workhouse?

I think Jim should escape the workhouse because the master and the matron don't accept people as they are. They punish people by hurting them. They think they can make you ''good'' by hurting you they will only make you the living dead like Joseph but do you want to be like Joseph who is controlled into the living dead. Don't you want to be with Lizzy and Emily
