The children have made their own watches, and coloured lovely Hickory Dickory Dock pictures. They also tried making paper plate mice.

The children have enjoyed colouring in currant buns and pennies. They have done well with currant bun counting sheets, acted out the 5 currant buns story in small groups, and played with the currant buns small world toys. They have also learnt about autumn, and tried autumn craft activities.

The children have had lots of fun making glitter spider webs, spider chalk pictures, masks, and paper plate black spiders. We have also been looking at positional language, such as "behind", "next to", and "in".

We had a busy week sticking pictures from the nursery rhyme in order, making some Humpty Dumpty pictures, and trying to put him "back together again". The children also tried tracing patterns on eggs, and making marks on our large Humpty Dumpty wall. We have talked about how to be kind, and the children made hand prints for the classroom "Kindness Tree".

The children have made lovely autumn pictures, and tried writing autumn words. They also tried making "leaf crowns", collages, and sequenced pictures from the story "Don't Hog the Hedge".

During our last week, the children have played with pumpkins, and learnt which vegetables are gathered at harvest. They also tried making collage hedgehogs, pumpkins, repeating vegetable patterns, and enjoyed the autumn fine motor tray. The children have made lovely scarecrow and tractor pictures.
