Queen Victoria

Queen Victoria was born in Kennsington palace 24th may 1819 and died in January 1901(lived 81 years).Her father was Edward Duke of Kent and her mum was called Princess Maria Louisa. She became queen in June 1837 at Westminster Abbey.

QUEEN VICTORIA'S FAMILY

Queen Victoria got married on February 10th 1840.Her husbands name was Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha,her first cousin..She had nine children.Her husband died when she was 42 years old in 1861.After her husband died she dressed in black as a sign of mourning (forever).

RULING

When she was around 78 years old she was the longest reigning British monarch and the queen of the biggest empire in history.After she became queen there were famous places called Queensland in Australia,Victoria falls,Victoria and

Victoria square.She was empress of India in 1877 .

LIFE WHEN SHE WAS YOUNGER

She could speak fluent English and German ,and studied other languages to including French, Italian and Latin. Before she was queen she was never alone. This meant that when she walked down the stairs she needed someone to hold her hand even if she went to the bathroom. She hated it and always wanted to be independent. When she became queen she moved to Buckingham palace alone this time so that she could be free.

CAUSE OF DEATH

The reason she died was because she had disease named:Intracerebiaral hemorrhage. This is when there is bleeding caused within the tissue itself. This disease is also a life threatening type of stroke.
