The transition to Year 6

To Year 5,

I how are you? Hopefully you are OK. This blog is dedicated to you, I am going to be telling you about the big step you are taking in your life. You are soon going to Year 6 and there are no shortcuts to the end.

Year 6 is more advanced than Year 5:

In Year 6, you will learn more new things everyday. If you are puzzled, you can ask for a bit of support. If you really struggled in Year 5, then it will be really hard for you in Year 6. However, there is no need to worry as you will revise things.

Behaviour:

Your behaviour has to be really good. If you are not well behaved, then you will be told off constantly and you don't want to spend your last year in the school as a bad kid. Do you?

Being a role model:

In Year 6 you will have a big responsibility of being a role model, since you are at the top of the school. You have to show everybody how it is done!

Try your best to be the best:

Listen to your teacher because if you don't you won't learn at all. Do not give up! Try again and again so that you can become independent. Don't always ask for help, try again. It doesn't matter if you're wrong, try again!

Oh, I almost forgot! You might get picked for Headboy/girl and Deputy Headboy/girl. You will also get picked for House Captain by others in your house.

It will be hard, but I believe in you! My favourite book that we read is

From your former Year 6 student,
