The Strange Machine

I have always had something in common with my uncle, and that is the love for science! My uncle's house is full of gadgets and science books everywhere. I go to his house quite often because I always find something to attract my attention and curiosity.

One day, I went down in the basement of his house and there was this strange machine, which I did not remember seeing before. The machine was very weird, and not at all sophisticated. I decided to see what it was all about, so I hit the ON button. The machine began to talk and in a robotic voice said "Welcome. Please step inside!" There was a door that I opened, and went in the machine. Everything was absolutely fantastic! There was a backward and forward button which I continued to press. My eyes fell on a label that I read instantly. I soon realised that my uncle had a secret time machine in his basement. In the blink of an eye, the machine disappeared with me inside it.

I was taken to the old far wild west. The air and the land were very dry and it was so sandy ! Life was grey and it gave me the heebie jeebies. All of a sudden money fell into my hands. A thief passed me by on the way out of a bank from where he had just done a robbery. I had only one chance to press a button while I was in the past. The next time I would press another button, I would be back home. Without thinking twice I pressed the fast forward button and ran as fast as lightning after the robber. I managed to get him, and the Sheriff was very happy about me and my help.

It was time to go back to my uncle's house so I pressed the backward button, to take me back to our time.

What a lovely experience that was! I will treasure this memory forever!
