My class were very fortunate to get the opportunity to take part in an

!

archeoligical dig,in the hall

with a lady called Jane;to learn about the brilliant Bronze Age for a History lesson.Have you ever done an archeoligical dig?

The first event we did was:to order a timeline,(from the present to the Stone Age,earliest)it was really fun!Do you know how many years ago?I'll tell you;over 4000 years ago!!!

Minutes later,we studied the amazingly detailed artefacts and held them! The most fascinating artefact wasthe bow and arrow;they were used to kill animals.Did you know:that the fur was used to make shelters,to get the fur off,you use a scraper-a scraper is like a knife-they are made out of flint(a kind of metal).

The second event was:THE DIG!First,we got a trowel to scrape the soil into the scoop then into the bucket.Suddenly, amazing ancient artefacts appeared before my very eyes;I was positively trembling with excitment! To my surprise,I found...

At the end of the lesson,we discussed the items we found,I didn't expect to find a skeleton! Can you believe we found a skeleton?Fortunately,we found more mysteriously magnificent artefacts!

Overall,we had a very succesful dig and learned a lot about the beautifully brilliant Bronze Age. Do you want Jane to come to your school?
