"Are you excited about moving Molly?" Mum asked as we were piling into the car. I wasn't excited or happy or thrilled. I never wanted to move. We had to because our apartment was too much of a squash. Dad didn't want to move either but mum said we would have a mansion up there. I still didn't want to but dad was all in for it. My baby sister Lilly didn't know anything so she was fine with it. No one would listen to me, so we had agreed we were moving. Well, they did anyway.

I was scared about starting a new school and making new friends. While we were in the car, I was BEGGING my parents to let me stay with my closest cousins Sarah, Liam, Jack, Margo and Julie but they said no and that I would make some very nice friends. I was disgusted that my parents wouldn't listen to their poor daughter, terrified about starting a new school and moving.

After about four hours in the car, we stopped at a nearby B and B. My dad put me on his knees and said, "I don't understand why you're not excited about moving Molly." " I don't want to make new friends and start a new school dad. I don't want to be the new nerdy kid everyone moves away from and doesn't want to be with." I replied, but dad said, "Listen. Everyone will like you and be your friend so don't worry about anything. You're going to love your new school and life just as much as your old one." I just hope he's right.
