Jane Seymour

Jane Seymour was born around 1507-1509 at Wulfhall, Savernake Forest, Wiltshire, England.

She died on 24th October,1 537 aged roughly 30-32 and was buried at St. George's Chapel, Windsor.

Jane married Henry VIII on the 30th May 1536, she was his third wife.

Not long after Henry married Ann Boleyn he started to get a little unhappy. He decided to get rid of her to make room for Jane Seymour.

Eleven days after marrying Henry she gave birth to a boy called Edward VI on the 12th of October. Sadly she died 12 days later from blood poisoning.

Henry was sad after Jane died but later decided he should find someone else instead.

He continued to look after Jane's family.

In January 28, 1547 Henry VIII died so Jane's child Edward VI became king.

When Edward VI became king he was only nine years old, he was a sickly young boy.

Who was Henry's favourite wife?

Why did Henry marry Jane?

He married her because he needed
