•IKEA is actually an acronym standing for the persons full name who founded this (Ingvar Kamprad) then the ‘EA’ in IKEA stands for the farm where he grew up and his home village name, the farm is called Elmtaryd and his home city is called Agunnaryd ( Ingvar Kamprad, Elmtaryd, Agunnaryd)

•IKEA was actually founded in 1943 and the first flat-pack furniture wasn’t sold until 1956.

•The average size of an IKEA store is 300,000 feet long (it can be much bigger)

•IKEA can sell ENTIRE houses just you may have to do it online and there is paperwork.

•40 countries have at least 20 IKEAS in that country but the biggest IKEA is in Kungens Kurva which opened in 1965 and is home to loads of mega stores
