Should Jim escape from the workhouse?

I think Jim should escape because the work house is a very bad place, and they don't let talk and they beat you when you do something wrong. Also he will become like joseph he has never seen a river and doesn't know what it is. And your not aloud to cry when your sad, and also they forse the children to do things that children shouldent do. Also the people beat carpets next to the sick people and they might get sick because of the dust. So that's why i think he should escape.
