The selfish giant

Once upon a time there were children playing in a garden. It was a beautiful summer day and the sun shone brightly in the sky. The garden was full of tall trees, bushes and pretty flowers. Everyday after school the children used to play in this garden.

One day a huge and scary giant came to the garden. He roared at the children and said, "Leave my new castle alone!" The children were very frightened and ran out of the garden in a flash. At the drop of a hat the giant started to built a massive wall of bricks. The children were very sad and went home. One morning the selfish giant looked out from his bedroom's window and rain was falling into his garden. But everywhere outside the garden looked like summer! He felt very sad and sorry for being selfish, so he decided to knock down the wall and build a playground for the children.

The giant invited them to come into his garden and as soon as they entered, the rain stopped and the sun shone more than ever! Eventually the flowers and the green grass started to grow.

Finally summer returned and the children played cheerfully again! Even the giant played with them and he was feeling jubilant!
