Task: Listen to "The Promise" on https://vimeo.com/73026206

Task: Make a list of words and phrases used in "The Promise" that you like. Think about why you like them and the images they conjure in your mind.

Task: Write a short paragraph to describe one of the scenes from the book. Use expanded noun phrases. Magpie (borrow) any of the words the author has used that you noted down in the first task.

Task: Draw your own illustration of the gritty city in the style of the book and write a paragraph to describe it. Remember your expanded noun phrases!
