The Auberge d'Italie

The Auberge d'Italie is an Auberge in Vallettta, Malta. It was built in the late 16th century to house knights of the Order of St.John from the 'langue' of Italy, and it was originally designed by Girolamo Cassar. The Auberge was used for a number of purposes: a museum, a school of art and a courthouse. Until recently, it housed the Malta Tourism Authority, and there were ongoing works of restoration. In 2018 it become the new National Community Art Museum, Muża.
