Leith Hill Music Festival

On Saturday the 16th of March, Southborough Primary School's choir entered and took part in the Leith Hill Music Festival. We were all nervous but equally excited.

At 10:00, we were shown to a practise room where we warmed up and practised our songs. We began quietly but became louder through our confidence and excitement. After we had finished our practise, another school came in to practise their songs. They were extremely good- which only built more anticipation. Soon it was ready for the competition to begin.

We went down and took our seats and waited for our turn to sing. After the third school had finished their songs, it was now time to go on stage and impress the judges; we were all very nervous. First we sang `Streets Of London` and then went on to `Whistle A Happy Tune`. The judges were very pleased with our singing and she said it was very excellent and well controlled.

After our exhausting performance, we sat down to watch our final competitors. Unfortunately, we did not win the choir competition- although we did very well. We were graded with a distinction and was scored 88/100! Well done Southborough!!!
