Hello everyone it’s us in Year 6!We have had a very busy and exciting start to 2018. We have already done lots of work on our new topic ‘Road Wars’ and have started our journey towards our goal of sorting out the congestion outside our school.

We have engaged in meetings with the local emergency services team to discuss the problems that the congestion is causing for them and now have a few more ideas of how we can help as a school and as a community. We have discussed potential resolutions in our literacy time and have taken part in debates, we have persevered in our maths lessons where we have been learning how to find fractions and percentages of different amounts – we now understand that this is important because who doesn’t want a bargain when they’re shopping in the sale?

Our independent learning area has lots of exciting new projects for us to complete including designing our own robots, Andy Warhol inspired Pop Art, presentations inspired by ‘the year ofthe woman’ and one of our good old favourites, the mystery box in the cooking area.

This is going to be an exciting half term so please keep checking this space for our blogs which will be updated every Friday to see what we have been up to. Have a great weekend everyone!
