We have had a great week learning about Sunflower's and sharing the story of 'Sam Plants a Sunflower'. We enjoyed planting our sunflower seeds and talked about what they need to grow. We are watering our seeds and looking at them daily, we can't wait to see them turn into sunflowers! Our role-play is now a Garden Centre and we are learning the names of different plants and seeds. We have been strengthening our fingers by pegging a flower shape and picking up sunflower seeds with tongs. We have also created models with the play dough. The children have painted some amazing sunflower pictures that are now up in our classroom.
