The Lonely Pharaoh’s One Love
A long time ago there was a beautiful city, everyone loved it there. Limobaba the Pharaoh would do anything to bring peace and happiness to his people. But he had nobody to share his passion for his country with. He was a lonely Pharaoh.
One day, when he was taking a walk through his city on his way home, he passed by some of the heritage of previous kings' such as the Great Sphinx of Giza and Tutankhamun’s Pyramid. People were learning the Hieroglyphics from the Rosetta Stone. He was proud of his people and promised to himself that he would bring peace to his country and his people.
Once he got to his Palace, he went up to his terrace, watched the Egyptian sun go down thinking of his mother who sadly passed away during the last War. Tears filled his eyes. The next day, Limobaba walked through his city again. Somebody, unexpectedly, caught his eyes. The girl was collecting water from the Nile, with her hair tied back and sweat covering her forehead. The Pharaoh found something incredibly attractive about the girl, so hard working and with incredible strength from her tiny slender figure. He started to blush with delight. He instantly fell in love!
He told one of his guards to go speak to her. The Pharaoh wanted to ask her for dinner at the Palace. After countless moments, the guard came back with her answer - she said yes!
On the dinner date, they met at the Palace on the beach at sunset. The girl said her name was Nefertiti. She was born in a noble family but like Limobaba, she also lost her family during the last War. Now she had to work a a slave. Her name means "Beauty has arrived". The Pharaoh found himself becoming fond of her even more.
At the end of the dinner, he proposed to her with a beautiful diamond ring of his beloved mother. He said, "Even this beautiful diamond loses its shine in front of your eyes. But please accept this as a token of my eternal love to you." She was speechless. She said, "I would do everything I could to support you to rule this country and bring peace to your people."
The wedding was set on the beach . Once they went back to the palace Limobaba showed his newly wed wife the sunset from his terrace. She loved the view. They both lived happily together.
