whispering dragon

I knew instantly when I woke up that today would be a strange day, as I saw a line of black crows sitting on the electric line outside of my window. After my morning routine, I set off with the dogs to the emerald, abandoned forest for walk. The forest always had a ghostly chill that ran down your back and most people would never enter it because sometimes you can hear a booming sound as if to warn you... "do not enter!" some people speculate that, if you were to hear a scream coming from the woods it is the ghost of a witch, but I knew it was just a story to scare people away from entering and finding out the truth.

As I entered, branches swayed to the rhythm of the wind in their leaves and they fluttered gracefully like butterflies, but in the distant I could see a blanket of fog like lasagna, layer after layer, then I noticed I couldn't see my hand in front my face... the dogs seemed like they could see though the fog, so we cautiously continued. All of a sudden I felt something fly over my head it made a screeching sound that felt weird like scraping metal scratching against each other. It was swooping so close and was hitting me lots of times in my face. Without thinking I was able to catch it. I held it for a second long enough to get a good look at it. It was a flying key made of bone and it was as smooth as glass, the colour was a pale peach and at the very end of the key was a small dragon skull.

With a uncontrollable force the key dragged me in all directions, I let go of the dog leads, letting it take control of my direction and it led my to a place I'd never seen before. There was a large, old oak tree with a caved old man siting down on a chair with a sad face. For a bit of time there was a no sound... all of sudden " GET OUT !!! " I froze to the spot remembering the words from the story, then there was a sobbing sound coming from the old man as he bit his lip to stem the tears that welled up in his wooden eyes and threatened to spill onto his solid face. Then his eye darted and fixed on me "you found it, you found it! Can you put my key back into my mouth?" demanded the door "Are you talking to me?" I whispered scardily "yes, after you put the key in my mouth, answer my riddle!" he cried happily. I was scared and wondered if he was tricking me? Should I do it or not? I took little steps wondering what will happen. Could he eat my soul? I clunked the key in... "what can't trolls hold, that is light as a feather?" he moned "Is it wee?" whispered the key "yes, but the question was for the flesh animal!" moaned the for door, then the door disapeared as if I had dreamed it all.

In the doors place now stood a portal, it looked a bit like the Amazon rainforest, but I have only seen it in books. Cautiously I walked closer deciding in my mind if I were to go in or not? However it had other ideas of it's own and it slurped me in. I wasn't able to escape. I was well truly trapped. How will I ever get out of this? Will I ever escape?
