Pollination

Why are bees so important for making fruit ?

Pollen gets stuck to the bees legs and hair. The bees then fly to another flower and the pollen then gets stuck to the top of the other flowers pistil.

The stamen in a plant makes pollen and fruit needs pollen to grow. The pollen from one flowers stamen travels to a different part of another flower. Then,a tiny fruit will start to grow.

Pollen needs to go to the pistil. It

moves down to the bottom,grows,

swells up and changes colour. The

petals of the flower fall off to leave

a fruit.
