Gifford Care bear

Introduction

Due to the fact that Hurricane Matthew completely demolished Haiti along with all its food, building and left people homeless Gifford Primary School generously decided to raise money for Haiti a country which lacks hospitals;schools to give young vulnerable children education; clean water for the children to drink to stop dehydration and more. Mr Townsend one of Gifford's staff kindly built a bear to raise money for those helpless children in need.

How the bear works

OPPORTUNITY/EDUCATION

Gifford primary school will help bring many opportunities for Haiti by building schools to help them learn and understand much more than they already know.Building schools will help many children in Haiti by giving them knowledge about English, math, science and geography helping them to get jobs and earn money.

CLEAN WATER

Another way for Gifford to help is to build taps, which will be located in the centre of their villages and towns, using the money from our care bear. Unfortunatly, children some even under the age of ten ,must walk extremely long distances to get dirty water.

HURRICANE MATTHEW

Hurricane Matthew is the cause of all the heart break home loss and food deprived and traumatised children. This disastrous hurricane was formed when a tropical wave pushed off in the Caribbean last September in 2016. Consequently, the rapid winds and water formed a hurricane which then came to the Caribbean.
