Chapter 4 Ride A Lorry!

"Wake , Tiro! Tiro!" Naledi burst out at her younger brother to get his donkey-ass out of bed, before they got caught by the farmer for being there illegally. After 10 minutes, Tiro eventually showed a sign of life by sitting up and dropping back down really fast. Feeling annoyed, Naledi began to shake him like a maraca.

Begrudgingly, Tiro forced him self out of bed and wiped his dry eyes. "Get off me," shouted Tiro furiously. Naledi grabbed him by the collar and dragged him to the road.

"We're at home, Naledi!" Tiro mumbled, sounding half asleep. Naledi rolled her eyes, she wasn't surprised how stupid her brother can be most of the time...

After a few minutes of jogging and just about breathing, Tiro began to slow down. Eventually, he got his breath back and began to sing,"La, la, la."

"Oh, shut up!" Naledi furiously shouted.

"Ok?" Tiro whimpered, questioningly.

The two siblings stood in the middle of the road staring at each other.

The children heard a sudden "Screech!" The tyres of a lorry shrieked across the barren road like a referee blowing the final whistle.

"What ya'll children doing on this barren wasteland on this fine day?" Some stranger, who they called Rra to be polite, asked the poor siblings.

Naledi and Tiro were wondering if they should answer this strange person.

Tiro never did shut up, well he does in his sleep, as he said "We're going to Jo'Burg to help our dying, diseased sister."

"I COULD help you two by giving you a lift, even though it is 250 miles away!"

Rra explained.
