PLEASE TURN OVER

READING

Read a book everyday. Choose your home reader or use the Get Epic or Oxford Owl websites

to read an ebook of your choice. Why not try a non-fiction book for a change?

We will be working on our '60 second reads' reading out loud to improve our fluency

and performing live.

Complete the reading comprehension in your pack on British Wildlife. Read the text

together with your adult and answer the questions. Use a full sentence to answer.

WRITING

Make a list of creatures/animals you might find in a woodland. Put

one idea on each line and use a bullet point for each idea. Eg.

  • squirrel
  • hedgehog

Retell the story of Stickman using your own words. Write in full sentences

starting with a capital letter and ending with a full stop. Remember to leave

finger spaces and use your correct letter formation.

Write a postcard home. Pretend you are Stickman and write to your family

telling them about your adventures.

Exclamation marks show strong feelings like anger or surprise. They also show

that someone is speaking loudly. Watch the powerpoint and complete the

activity sheet on Exclamation Marks.
