Abasi's Story.

My daily life differs from Abasi's in many ways. Access to clean water is something I take
completely for granted. Here we can just turn on a tap and the water comes gushing out when Abasi and his family have to walk miles and miles for dirty water, taking time and energy. And after all that the water is a major health risk! From my research, I have found that 700,000 children die due to diseases carried in dirty water; almost 2000 children a day. (Source: WaterAidUK) And while I, sometimes don't feel very keen to go to school, sometimes Abasi rarely even gets to go to school, despite being eager to learn. When either of his parents are ill he must do their work for them, meaning he will miss school. This does not seem fair. Today I walked for just 10 minutes and in the butcher's and Sainsburys
we could buy any food that we wanted. While Abasi's family has to grow their own fruit and vegetables, normally with very poor results. Fussing over my food I soon feel grateful for having food at all.

Overall, my life differs from Abasi's in many ways. I have found learning about him very interesting and valuable. Thank you for reading.
