BATTLE OF BRITAIN

Operation sea lion was Hitler's code name for his invasion plans.

During the battle around 1000 British planes were shot down while over 1800 German planes were destroyed.

It was the first battle in history to happen exclusively in the air.

The swastika was an ancient religious

symbol used in many religons before

Adolf Hitler made it the centerpiece

of the Nazi flag.

The Battle of Britain started on 10th July and ended on the 31st October 1940.
