My Travel Itinerary
Travel destination number 1:
No trip to Brazil would be complete without a visit to its capital city Rio de Janerio, which is located on the East Coast and is where golden sand meets this bustling city. I would want to visit this city to witness one one of the new 7 wonders of the world - Christ the Redeemer.
If you don't already know, Christ the Redeemer is a statue of Christ overlooking and protecting Brazil. It is made from concrete and then has a sandstone outside and amazingly took 9 years to build at a cost of $250,000 in 1931.
I would want to visit Christ the Redeemer as I have always seen photos of the amazing views from the very top and it would feel like I was standing on clouds, on top of the world and looking down at the world below. Furthermore, It is also one of the largest statues in the world and I would want to stand beneath it and look up to see the statue embracing me - I would feel very safe!
A fun fact about Christ the Redeemer is that as it is so high up,
it attracts lightning and gets hit by lightning three to size times a year.
If you do decide to visit Christ the Redeemer make sure you pack:
Comfortable shoes - there will be lots of walking
A camera - to take photos of the world below
Lots of water - there is one cafe at the top, but it will get very crowded
