Transition into year 6

Year 6!

Going into year 6 is a big change as there are more responsibilities to handle and most importantly, you are the top of the school! being the top of the school is tough but you have ties when you will enjoy your days. it is different to year 5 and all the other year groups because there are lots of more things to do than being in class and working hard.

Responsibilities

In year 6, there are house captains and head boy and girl and deputy head girl and boy. This means that those who are chosen for those jobs have a great responsibility to do around the school as well as helping others like teachers. if you are a head girl and boy and deputy head girl and boy, when there are visitors coming to All saints benhilton - our school- they have to show them around the school and talk to them detailedly about our school and why you think it is a good school to be in. House captains collect house points and nearly at the end of year 6, house captains help to set up sports day.

Challenging yourself

in year 6, we have to be challenging ourselves to get into greater depth. if we do not start challenging ourselves, the work would get harder for us as we go into high school. i always aim for a triangle plus because if i get a triangle, i know that i have done my work well but i can challenge myself more. however, if i get a triangle plus i know that i have challenged myself enough and that i have got into greater depth. later in year 6, we have got sats - where we take tests. IT may sound hard, but remember there are lots of fun things that are going to happen too!

Fun activities!

there is the year 6 production, the trip to the isle of wight and many other school trips to different places. Being in year 6 is fun and tough as you have lots of jobs and work. IN the year 6 production, there are lead oles and some are not lead roles, however, if you do not get a lead role in the production, do not be upset as every role is very important and there are other chance to be a lead roles later in your life.
