A mouth-watering trip to the New Happy Swan

By: Kate Tsui

Last week year 4 went to the New Happy Swan Restaurant for lunch as part of our new topic - China. We walked there (quite tiring I must say) but it helped to work up my appetite for the much anticipated lunch. There was a choice of spring rolls, fried rice, noodles, chicken balls, sweet and sour sauce and more delightful, scrumptious choices. I liked the yummy prawn crackers the best, because if you left them on your tongue you will feel a tingly feeling, it was the most peculiar sensation. The teachers got a mini table all by themselves, so unfair! A few days later Mrs Lee, the owner of the restaurant, gave us fortune cookies, a welcoming surprise after a hard day at school. My fortune said I would get a new pair of shoes tomorrow but guess what ... it was wrong! (I didn't think it would tell the truth anyway!)
