What is Stephen Hawking known for?

He is known for his amazing discoveries in theoretical physics, such as the 'Big Bang' and 'Black holes' and how they can shrink at an astonishing amount and that the universe has no edge or boundary in imaginary time. The mind blowing black hole theory is that they create radiation - also known as 'hawking radiation'in our galaxy. He didn't just discover this theory all by himself, he had a bit of help from his partner Roger Penrose. They worked together to come up with the extraordinary idea of our universe.

Has he written any books?

Yes,he has!He has written approximately 12 books, mainly about science and history about our universe.Both adults and children including teenagers read his books and are inspired by what he has written. I think that it's great that we all(young and old) can enjoy Stephen Hawking's books and that they can inspire us to make choices for what we want to do in the future.
