Writing about Vesuvius.

The Vesuvius volcano is found in Italy.

It is found near the towns of Naples, Pompeii and Herculaneum.

Vesuvius is 1,220 meters high.

It erupted in 24th August, AD 79.

Both Pompeii and Herculaneum disappeared under ash and lava.

We know about this famous volcano because a man called Pliny wrote

about the volcano when it erupted AD79.
