21.09.2018

The learning theme next week will be the colour ‘Blue’.

Forthe challenge we ask that you go on a hunt for blue objects around the home. Thisweek, please model and support your child to compare the different shades ofblue that they find. This will support your child when they explore colourmixing next week. We ask that you post on the challenge blog the name of theshade of blue that your child likes the most. We will then compile a graph tofind Foundation’s favourite shade of blue.

The children will be baking delicious Blueberry muffins next week and looking closely at the inside and outside of a blueberry, in addition to observing how they change once they have been cooked. This will of course be in addition toall of the busy activities that happen each week.

Pleasedo look at the Foundation blog for photos and information about the fun learning experiences that are taking place each week. We would like to remindF1 parents that if you have not yet sent in your child’s PE kit that you do sonext week and please remember to name everything. Please may we also ask thatyou sign and return the ‘Cheswick Green Student Information Booklet’ which wasin your induction pack.

Pleaseremember to write a comment in your child’s reading record each time they read,we will then be able to change their books. We would also like to ask that thereading record and reading book be sent into school each day in your child’swallet.

The Foundation team would like to thank you for your support with encouraging your child to walk in to school from the gate. The children are settling in muchquicker now.

Well done, in particular to Foundation 1 who are now much more settled in themorning and learning the rules and routines really well!
