ENGLISH

READING

Please read daily with your child using their school readers, home books or an online platform such as Get Epic www.getepic.com or Oxford Owl www.oxfordowl.co.uk (Choose the stage your child is reading at and then choose the titles to read.) You will be able to access a wide

selection of ebooks to support your child.

PHONICS

Please play the games on Phonics Play.

Your child should be familiar with Phase 2,

3 and 4. Choose from Flashcard Speed

Trials, Buried Treasure, Dragon's Den,

Picnic on Pluto and Reading Robot. Don't forget to read the comics on

www.phonicsplaycomics.co.uk.



WRITING

Listen to the story 'Katie in London' by James Mayhew. (Click on the book link) Recap the story. Why did they choose the gift they did? Write in a speech bubble what you think the lion is saying to Katie and Jack. Write a few sentences remembering to use a capital letter to start, finger spaces and a

full stop to finish.

Tell me about a present you had for Christmas describing it carefully. Draw a

picture to illustrate it.
