Goldilocks and the Three Bears

We found out this week that Goldilocks needed some help to learn about stranger danger and manners. The children decided that we needed to tell her that she should not be walking into other people's houses and that she should definitely not be eating their food or breaking their furniture! Foundation 2 children created a wanted poster, to help the Bears find who had broken into their home.

The story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears does help us to think about the concept of size and the related language. We have loved seeing all your photographs of your Teddies in order of size. We measured all the children in Foundation 1 to find out how tall we are. We found out that we are all different sizes and that it won't be long before we are as tall as Mrs Seickell! In cooking this week, we made porridge and had a taste to see what all the fuss was about, and most of us really enjoyed this healthy, warm breakfast.
