A bit about him

Roald Dahl was born on the 13th of September 1916 in Llandaff, South Wales. His father was German. Roald used to work in the RAF aeroplanes .

Roald only started child books when he got his own children he originally wrote short adult stories.

Roald Dahl writes all his books in a small hut at the end of his garden he loves chocolate but not chocolate cake or chocolate ice cream. His favourite colour was yellow!thats why he orders yellow paper from America to write his stories.

Roald Dahl didn't write and draw of course Quentin Blaq did they had a strong friendship but Quentin actually wrote stories and not illustrated but when he met Roald Dahl he started illustrating . The first book he illustrated for Roald Dahl was The enormous crocodile.

Roald Dahl's book ' boy ' was all about his child hood and if you read it you'll know that his father was fixing a roof and as he did he tripped and fell causing him to break his arm so he had to learn to do everything with his other arm for example he sharpened his fork to be a knife and fork.And that Roald Dahl was a very michiviouse child he once put a rat in the jar of the sweet shop and when he got caught him and his friends they got beet by there headmaster.Roald Dahl has way more adventures in the book.

The witches is a brilliant book written by Roald Dahl who published it in 1983 . This book is about a boy who's mum and dad died a car crash so he lives with his gran, his gran tells him all about witches and tells him how the witches can smell clean people more than they can smell dirty people she also tells him about her friend who a witch captured and put him in a painting (this book was also made into a movie)

One day they take a break to the sea side and realise that the grand high witch and all the other witches have decided to take there meeting in that very hotel. Luke goes to the hall to train his pet mice but in a while he realises that that's the hall there doing there meeting in that hall and he thinks they're going to leave and he can go back to his hotel room but at the very end someone smells him . . .
