They were all really good but I really like Jacob Shield's, Tianna's and Poppy's and Daisy W and Daisy B's. On Monday we did research on a famous man called Galileo Galilei but he is dead now. I found out that he died at the age of 77, in 1642 and was born on the 15th of February, in Pisa, Italy in 1564. I found out that he died at the age of 77, in 1642 and was born on the 15th of February, in Pisa, Italy in 1564. We did lot's of Science experiments in class! We went around in groups of 10 and did 3 experiments, one of them was writing with lemon juice, another one was seeing what happens if you put 7 raisins in lemonade an dthe last was putting foam and a food colouring with water and seeing what happens. My favourite out of those 3 was the last one with the foam because I got to get messy with it! Later on that week we made musical instruemnts out of recycling and watched videos from 'Stomp'. I worked with Emma and we made 2 instruments. One was made from 2 bottles and peas, we taped the 2 bottles together without the lids on and the peas was inside so when we shook it, it would be like a maraca. The other instrument I made with Emma was made from and egg box and 3 elastic bands. In the egg box we cut off the lid and inside there were 2 stick things that went smaller as it went up. We put the 3 elastic bands on the sticks and the pitch changed because of how far it was stretched. If it was stretched the widest then it would make a high pitch, if it was in the middle then the pitch would be normal but the elastic band at the top was less stretched so it made a low pitch! We finshed off our topic in Science about sound which I really enjoyed. I made more instruments with Poppy after school one day in that week and we made about 6 or 7 new instruments. We used milk bottles, normal drink bottles, lids off bottles, rice and water. I had lot's of fun through out the week and my favourite part was making the instruments out of nothingness!
