Lighthouse making!

We made a lighthouse! During half term our class collected materials and some spare scraps like cardboard or toilet rolls, so we could make a lighthouse! Though we didn't have many supplies, it wasn't very hard!

First, we used the toilet roll cardboard as the base, then we cut out some green card, and placed it underneath the cardboard to hold all the LED and wires that would be stored inside, as they cannot be seen from the outer perspective.

Once we did this, we began our second task, and we began to connect the 'crocodile clips' to the wires. We attached the wires to a light bulb, and used the clips to connect them together. Once we did this, the bulb lit up.

After that, we placed the wires inside the base, and closed it up with another green cardboard above. Then, we used a plastic bottle cap to seal the bulb, and cover it, making the top circular.

Finally, we got red and white coloured card, (as those colours are the colour of the English lighthouse,) and we glued the surface of the toilet roll, to wrap the card around. Some of the card was flappy and wasn't secure, because the glue wasn't that strong to hold it firmly.

Overall, I enjoyed this experience and can't wait for the next!
