On the 22nd of October me and my class recieved the news that we where to build a model house from the 17th century to burn! On my way home I questioned myself, would Mrs Tigg, our class teacher, burn our houses down?

I decided to make 2 shops as well as 2 houses the only problem was that I had no cardboard boxes left to make my house so I scavenged my garage, otherwise known as the 'man room' for victims of my homework.Luckily I found a big box wich used to contain an ancient computer of wich I used for programing games on, then me and my Nan cut down until it was a 7 by 7 centimetre box. It took about 2 hours to finish the house (by that I mean paint, stick and dry).
Once the house had dried I layed my eyes on the majestic glistening silver roof wich layed upon 4
black walls wich quarantined the contents inside.

On wednesday the 5th of November everyone was excited for it was burning day! Now the talk around the classroom was not on the last episode of X factor nor the aprentice but on the houses. Some chats were of perplexed freinds wondering if this was all a big hoax but they soon came round to the shocking reality, that we at 11 O 'clock were to burn all our houses to a crisp. Not one single one of us (as far as I know) was not slightly nervous as we marched into the playground for the big bonfire of houses but I can certanly say that all of us were excited to see the great fire of Greenford right infront of our eyes. Some of us excpected a little fire some of us excpected a great fire but then the few couple of people, including me, excpected no fire at all.

We were told to stand in a rectangle around the fire like a pack of wolves surrounding its prey, and I describe it as that for all of us were talking but not to be rude and we were not told of for this chatterfor it was chatter of what would happen would it start and end in seconds or last for quite a while. Everybodys chat was stopped though when Mr Odishu started to pour white spirit onto the houses to help the fire spread and then see Mrs Stuart and Mrs Tigg set fire to 2 unlucky houses wich burnt for about 2 minutes happily until they soon died out. Everybodys hope was gone until Mrs Stuart lighted a straw house (wich was infact the second tallest house there)
wich burned like a jaguar racing against a zebra as it sped upwards towards the sky.You see this fire lasted ten minutes and changed so much that it is impossible to describe but there could only be possibly one word to describe it in all its honour, breath taking as it rode upwards toward the heavens standing at a whopping metre high and I know that doesnt sound that high but it was like a skyscrapper if you had seen the size of these houses.at the end of the fire we all started to cheer and clap and praise our teachers and helpers for letting this once in a lifetime opourtunity wich I think no other teacher would dare to do. As we walked in class we sat still gbsmacked at what we had just witnissed outside.

Even now to ths very day the sight of the fire still is in my head everyday reminding me of that, some might say emotinal perplexed and realy extraudinary expirience like no other. Now I will probaly forget about our trip to the Londen Eye or seaworld in high school but this one will stay with me forever.
