The Lion and the Mouse

Once upon a time a lion caught a mouse. He laid his big paw on the mouse trapping him. The mouse was very scared. The frightened mouse looked at the lion. He begged the lion to let him go. At first, the lion wouldn't listen but then he took pity on the little mouse when he saw the tears in his eyes. The mouse was once again free.

Sometime later the lion accidentally stepped on a trap which had been left there by humans. The poor lion roared and roared for help. All of a sudden, out of some dry shrubs nearby, a mouse popped out. It was the same mouse which the lion had freed previously.

The mouse helped the lion out of the trap and the lion was once again free.

The lion and the mouse were friends forever after. Both had learned that it is good to help someone who has helped you.
