On Friday 27th May Year 5 went to the Science Museum in London for Science week. First, we got the tube to South Kensington and we walked through the tunnel to the Museum and walked into the entrance. We saw lots of amazing things and we saw lots of old cars and vehicles. One of the areas was called Exploring Space and that was where we saw lots of rockets and we found out lots of interesting facts about space and astronauts.

After that we went into a theatre and there was a real astronaut called Jeanne who gave us lots of more interesting facts about when humans go to space and what they eat and drink and how they go to the toilet! He told us it would take 10 hours for a human to travel from the Earth to the Moon. He said he was the last man to go on the Moon.

Finally, he let us go and that meant it was lunchtime! We had our lunch and then we walked around some more. Then it was home time and we got back on the tube to go Back to school. We got back at about 2:30pm but we all had a good time and we learnt lots.
